The Transport and Infrastructure Committee is accountable for the
development, management and implementation of key transport
strategy and policy including the Local Transport and Connectivity
Plan (LTCP), the Bus Strategy, the Transport Budget (including any
transport levy), the annual programme of strategic transport and
infrastructure projects, and the delegation of passenger transport
functions to delivery partners. The Committee also oversees key
performance measures such as increasing public transport usage and
sustainable travel connectivity, reducing the number of people
killed or seriously injured on the region’s roads, reducing
congestion on major roads and improving connectivity for
‘left behind’ areas.
The Committee is chaired by Cllr Anna Smith, Leader of Cambridge
City Council and the CPCA Deputy Mayor and Lead Member for
Transport.
