On being proposed by Mayor Nik Johnson and seconded by Simon Smith it was resolved unanimously to approve the updates to the Pay Policy.

Family Leave Policy - Paternity Section Committee to approve the amendments to the Family Leave Policy. Additional documents: Decision: The Committee approved the updates to the Family Leave Policy as set out in the report. It was confirmed that this policy also details entitlements for adoptive parents.
This change in policy was welcomed by staff and members and aligned with other councils who had adopted this.
On being proposed by Mayor Nik Johnson and seconded by Councillor Lucy Nethsingha it was resolved unanimously to approve the changes to the Paternity Section of the Family Leave Policy.

Exclusion of the Press and Public To determine whether the public and press be excluded from the meeting in accordance with Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 as amended, as the following item of business is exempt and the discussion may involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1, 2 and 5 of schedule 12A of the Act. Decision: It was resolved that the press and public be excluded from the meeting on the grounds that the next report contains exempt information under Part 1,2 & 5 of Schedule 12A the Local Government Act 1972, as amended, and that it would not be in the public interest for this information to be disclosed.
